KCM G.C. POWDER

Keith Ceramic Materials Ltd

KCM G.C. Powder is a very good plasticizer for conventional ceramic and refractory mixes. Its use will increase bulk density and improve high temperature thermal stability of the product.

KCM G.C. Powder can be used in extrusion mixes as it will form thixotropic gels with acidified water. It is particularly effective when used in conjunction with KCM High Purity Bonds. The plasticizing properties develop in mildly acidic conditions and the extreme fineness of the powder assists in the sintering process. High fired products suffer very little shrinkage, densities are improved and remarkably good resistance to high temperature creep can be achieved.

KCM G.C. Powder is a special high purity alpha alumina monohydrate (Boehmite). It behaves like clay, but because of its high purity, leaves no deleterious fluxes in the grain boundaries when fired.

The material is packed in 25 kg paper bags.
